About
Caroline and Nicholas’s artful wedding celebration was deeply influenced by their love of nature, art, and design. As the first Western couple honored with the privilege to marry at the Japanese Art Sanctuary of Naoshima, within Tadao Ando’s Benesse House, their guests engaged with art and nature at every turn. Caroline had the brilliant idea to treat her personal flowers as part of a larger installation at the ceremony site. Forgoing the traditional wedding arch or aisle, we collaborated with Akemi Tamaribuchi to create a 13’ wearable botanical train — equal parts “bouquet”, ceremony decoration, and sculpture. As featured in Vogue Japan (Print Issue, Oct 2018) and Town & Country.
