Production Assistant - San Francisco Bay Area
The Production Assistant at our events-focused floral design studio is responsible for bringing the environments we craft for our clients to life. This person reports directly to the Senior Creative producer, and works closely with our team of designers, installers, subcontractors, and vendor partners.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral design that runs parallel to a desire for elegant efficiency. They will have experience working in the events industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing and executing events of varying sizes and styles against a timeline and budget. Excellent communication skills, time management, and common sense are essential.
Responsibilities:
Collaborating with other team members to understand the scope of work and creative vision
Assisting with the production and execution of each event, including coordinating with vendors and managing the team of designers and floral assistants
Maintaining and updating the studio's inventory of floral supplies and materials
Securing and managing trucking and transport for installation materials, flowers, and flower people alike
Ensuring that all events are delivered on time and within budget
Qualifications:
Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area
A minimum of one year of experience in event floral design, or event production
Strong organization, communication and project/time management skills
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects
Self-motivated and results oriented
Strong attention to detail
Possesses high work motivation, commitment, follow through, initiative and achievement
Some overtime, nights and weekends required
Ability and clearance to travel both domestically and internationally
Ability to lift objects up to 25 lbs
